		<description>It&#039;s been 15 mos. since I broke orbit from SAP after having revolved 13 years around that wonderful planet of software code production and sales.  Having started in 1995 right after the &quot;Client/Server&quot; revolution, and growing technologically at the exponential rate of the Internet during the later half of the 90&#039;s I believe we&#039;d make a good team given we probably have a few of the same t-shirts that we guard against the &quot;power of order&quot; at home which constantly thrives for an efficient and non-cluttered environment.
If you recall the &quot;colorful&quot; logos of the mid to late 90&#039;s were characteristic of the Dot Com era and SAP as did many big corporate giants during that day upgraded their traditional marketing &quot;brand recognition&quot; logos with newer Multi-Color Logos that caught the eye and were indicative of New and Innovative thought.  Of course, as with most events in business which create a stir and inspire a herd type reaction, this was just a &quot;fad&quot; and as is the case with fads ...they come and go...this one which faded with the Dot Gone closure of growth that came along with GW Bush&#039;s administration.
I had hands on experience with Haht as well as with WebMethods, both innovators in Web enabling applications as well as partners in design with SAP.  I actually worked on a key &quot;Marketplace&quot; that integrated Commerce One apps with SAP BW using Webmethods, given SAP didn&#039;t have a viable &quot;stack&quot; at that time (1999-2000).  I was their with the integration team of SAP with Top Tier actually installing EP4.5 FCS (First Cust Ship) before the first integrated Portal of EP5.0 that was the precursor to SAP NetWeaver when InQMy 6.0 was actually the WebServer portion of the Technology Stack and Java JDBC was in its infancy as part of the SAP Stack.

I don&#039;t think that good things ever really go away, they just get bought out, embedded, stripped of all intellectual property, and then get re-marketed, re-positioned, re-packaged, re-vamped, then sold all over again under a different marketing proposition!
I&#039;ve been in the business too long to not see clearly how the old saying &quot;the more things change...the more they stay the same&quot; is so markedly prominent in our society.  The only thing that has changed however is the power and level of technology which now makes old innovation obsolete and new innovation &quot;to die for&quot; from the Software Perspective.
That&#039;s why the T-Shirt business will never go out of business.  But because of technology, it may no longer be sourced by the local T-Shirt shop down the road, but maybe in Colombia, Peru, Shanghai, or Mumbai.  (look for their logos at the next SAP SAPPHIRE Convention)!

When dealing with schedule lines that are late, the relevant date is actually the planned goods issue date (VBEP-WADAT) and not the delivery date (VBEP-EDATU).
The reason for this is that a late delivery could be sitting picked and packed on your dock, but the truck broke down, which still leaves you with a real chance to deliver it on the planned delivery date.
But if picking and packing have not even started yet (and the fact that the delivery didn&#039;t get created points towards a more serious problem), it is better to use the planned goods issue date for making the decision. So already on Apr 19 you would see this:

Our priority was to bring the app to market and gauge the market&#039;s appetite for a hosted sellside eCommerce website integrated with SAP. SOAP was the least constraining technology and we traded off speed for performance, although based on our results, it&#039;s quite acceptable. Should performance become an issue, we know where to go :-)
